As one of the five principal bodies of the United Nations, the UNSC comprises 15 member states dedicated to maintaining international peace and security. This powerful committee investigates and resolves disputes, imposes sanctions, authorizes the use of force, establishes peacekeeping missions, and makes critical recommendations to member states. b. Achieving Gender Parity in Leadership Positions and Closing the Gender Pay Gap.

The Special Political and Decolonisation Committee (SPECPOL) deals with important issues like decolonization, peacekeeping, and political stability. Delegates will address complex problems such as territorial disputes, self-determination, and rebuilding after conflicts. This committee plays a key role in creating policies that support global peace and justice, making it essential for international diplomacy and cooperation.

The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) focuses on global security and disarmament issues. Delegates will address challenges such as arms control, nuclear non-proliferation, and regional conflicts. This committee plays a crucial role in promoting international peace and security through dialogue, negotiation, and the formulation of effective disarmament policies.
Agenda:
Nuclear Non-Proliferation in the Middle East.
The standard bearer for human rights across the world, the UNHRC investigates breaches of the Human Rights Charter, including but not limited to violations of Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Religion, and Minority Rights. Delegates will be given a platform to bring forth a world of equal rights and justice, conjuring decisive solutions to many of the long standing human rights violations being seen today.

Human Rights Violations in Xinjiang, China
The stage for the best diplomats of them all. Negotiate, proclaim, and conquer as you navigate a complex crisis chaired by the Executive Council, challenging your diplomatic acumen to the fullest. Only one will emerge victorious from the ashes left behind.
In this committee, participating delegates will be handpicked by the chairs of their respective committees on Day Three of SIMUN.
